Hiking

the US midwest

Follow me as I hike the parks and forests of the midwestern United States.

Manistee River

The Manistee River in west central Michigan is a beautiful 23 mile loop.

Porcupine Mountains

The beautiful porkies in Michigan’s UP, reside along Lake Superior.

Ozark Mountains

The Ozarks span parts of Missouri featuring many natural springs.

The Ice Age Trail – Wisconsin

Indiana State Parks Project

There are 24  state parks and many other state forests and nature preserves around Indiana. Although Indiana is a generally flat plains area, it is home to some beautiful wildlife habitats, gorgeous rock formations, and hilly wooded areas. As a personal goal, beginning in September of 2022, I set out to explore all of these natural wonders through our state parks and forests.

About the Hiker

I’m Leslie, avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast. I’ve always loved being active, being outside, and appreciating the beauty that surrounds us. Recently I’ve discovered hiking as an outlet and an activity through which I find much joy and peace.
